INSTANT INSTINCT

DAZED DIGITAL FASHION VIDEOS LIVE AT COLETTE

Every day during Paris Fashion Week Dazed Digital photographer and filmmaker Pierre Debusschere will shoot, edit and produce an original fashion film based on a runaway collection from that day. Kicking off with five Dazed fashion films created over the past 12 months, the loop will grow with a new live addition every day to make 13 by the end of the week.

Belgian photographer and filmmaker Pierre Debusschere has become a regular contributor to Dazed & Confused over the past 12 months. From documenting our photo shoots to producing exciting, original content for Dazed Digital and covering fashion week shows, Debusschere’s work embodies the multimedia crossover we have been encouraging at Dazed. We want to push a new way of seeing and creating a fashion image.

The Collette/Dazed collaboration showcases a series of films that Debusschere has collaborated with us on over the past year, showing how he has been instrumental in this new approach. The reel contains artistic treatments of shows by Rozalb De Mura, Peter Pilotto, Nazir, Maison Martin Margiela and the final Number Nine show. It also features Debusschere’s fluoro DKNY shoot that appeared in Dazed’s January issue, and a special Made In Tokyo film and shoot that appeared in Dazed Japan, showcasing emerging Japanese designers such as N.Hoolywood and Arashi Yanagawa.

Every day during Paris Fashion Week on view in Colette on two monitors on the ground floor and simultaneously on Dazed Digital.com. Debusschere will creatively interpret one show per day, by the end of the collections there will be 8 new films made, featuring Bernhard Wilhelm, Balmain, Alexander McQueen and Jeremy Scott, among others.

Debusschere’s fashion week coverage and the interest he has accrued over the past two seasons on Dazed Digital, along with this presentation at Collette, proves that the future of fashion editorial lies in experimentation.
